Roman Soldiers Visit
Class 4L
Our class enjoyed learning about life as a Roman soldier when our two visitors joined us for our Sparkling Start. We enjoyed learning about everyday life as well as how they equipped and organised themselves for battle.
We were able to re-enact being a Roman soldier by learning how to create a tortoiseshell formation with shields for protection. Some children were able to take part in role-play – showing the rest of us what they wore and how they behaved. A great day of interactive learning! We all enjoyed it and learnt a lot!
