Lisle Singers Visit
Lincoln Cathedral

In December Mrs Jennings and Mr Kinsey took a group of children from our school singing group to Lincoln Cathedral. We had been invited to take part in the first Church Schools’ Carol Service.

The day began with the children taking part in a choral workshop, where they practised and learnt three new songs. The lady running the workshop took the children through some vocal coaching and ways to help them remember the words.

After lunch we headed over to the cathedral where we joined 14 other schools from across the diocese, along with some of our parents who had come to join the service. The pupils sang, listened to readings and were given a Christmas message and blessing from the Bishop of Grimsby. During the service the pupils from Lisle and three other schools performed one of the songs they had learnt during the morning’s session.

It was a lovely day, in a beautiful setting, the children’s behaviour was superb as always and we even had Mr Kinsey singing along!
