She used to sit outside her house, hoping to talk to the villagers as they went past but there was only one person who ever spoke to her and her name was Anna. Then Rose won the lottery and suddenly everyone wanted to speak to her because they wanted to borrow money. In the end, Rose learnt that you can’t buy friends with sweets or money; and not everyone you know is your real friend. She also learnt that, when you do find out who your real friends are, you should always make time for them. In the closing prayer, Daniel gave us some very good advice that we like to use in our class:
‘The best way to make a friend is to be a friend.’
