Collective worship at home

During school closures and the lockdown, spiritual development will naturally occur within the children. This is an extraordinary time when children will question everything they are hearing, seeing and feeling around them and within. In these circumstances, collective worship can offer support for children: a time for reflection and stillness. Whether you look to God for those answers or within, time for prayer and reflection can help mental well- being, provide time for clarity and help process ideas, thoughts and feelings.

Collective worship is a routine, for the children, within a normal school week and allocating time for this could help bring normality and structure for them at an unusual time. You can choose to follow the full collective worship or simply choose an aspect to follow individually or as a family.
