Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God. Hebrews 13:16

This year, our harvest celebrations were very different but we didn't let it get us down! This week, each class in the academy looked at a theme under the big question ' Why do we celebrate Harvest?' We had a diverse range of activities some focusing on giving thanks to God, looking at food sources, faith, Hindu celebration of Harvest and the role of keyworkers in the food industry during this challenging year. At the end of the week, we all met for a virtual collective worship (led by the children) celebrating the harvest.

We were astounded by the contributions of our school community especially during these hard times. The food donations will be gratefully received by CARE who help individuals and families in our local community.

Furthermore, this year, we have supported another local charity Harbour Place by taking part in Socktober. We have collected new socks (a trolley full!) that will be distributed to our local homeless community to help them keep warm and comfortable as the weather turns colder.
