This term our new topic is the Tudors. Our sparkling start kept children busy code cracking to find letters which spelt out words from the Tudor period. The children worked in teams to see who could crack the codes the fastest.
During the afternoon, the children researched their chosen areas from the code cracking using iPads and texts. They had to use their teamwork and communication skills to create a group presentation to show to the rest of the class. Each group chose a different heading and once they had presented their part they had to use their listening skills to find facts to record from each presentation.
It was a great start to our new topic. The children will be finding out throughout the rest of the term whether the Tudors really were that terrible!
