Leeds City Museum
On Thursday 19th April we joined 5C and went on a trip to Leeds City Museum. When we arrived we explored the different exhibitions within the museum. Several members of the class enjoyed dressing up while exploring the Natural World on the ground floor.
In the afternoon we enjoyed our Ancient Greek workshop. To begin with we made a human timeline before focusing on the Ancient Greek period. We went up to the third floor to visit the Ancient exhibits, working in teams to use picture clues to find different artefacts and gather information about them. Finally, we worked in our groups to undertake different activities: investigating coins, identifying different objects and handling ancient artefacts. We all had to wear gloves to handle the artefacts. We had to be careful with them as they are over two thousand years old!
