Woodside Wildlife Park

As part of out topic 'Who Is Afraid Of The Big Bad Wolf?', we went on a trip to Woodside Wildlife Park. A ranger took us round the park and provided information on the habitats, food and history of the animals. We were very interested in the predators including the white wolves and we watched them being fed. We also saw members of the cat family, such as the tiger and Lynx, being fed. This linked to our science work on omnivores, carnivores and herbivores.

The children had a fantastic day and even met some of the animals that live at the park. They were very brave and held snakes and stroked lizards. We are now going to create some imaginative poems based on our favourite animals
