Woodside Wildlife Park

As part of our topic 'Who Is Afraid Of The Big Bad Wolf?', 4B went on a trip to Woodside Wildlife Park. We saw many different animals and learnt about their habitats, food and their history. We especially enjoyed meeting Monster and Toby the Woodside tortoise. Our highlight was the pack of four white wolves, made up of four siblings. We watched them being fed learnt lots of interesting facts and asked some great questions about them to take back to our topic learning. Further to this, we also saw members of the cat family, a tiger and Lynx. We were able to link this to our current science work of omnivores, carnivores and herbivores.

To end the day, the children were able to hold snakes, stroke lizards and admire a tarantula. The children really enjoyed the day and were a credit to the school and themselves.
