Trip to Woodside

4H were lucky enough to go on a trip to Woodside Wildlife Park as part of their, ‘Who Is Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?’ topic this half-term! The children enjoyed learning about the animals’ origins, habitats and diets, applying their scientific knowledge of predators and prey! Our favourite animals were Polly, the parrot (she was very cheeky!) and the Hudson Bay wolves! The children got to witness the mini-wolf-pack being fed and interacting with each other, giving us lots of inspiration for our writing! To round off a lovely day, the children then got to take part in the action by holding the resident snake and interacting with a tarantula and a bearded-dragon! (They were much braver than Miss Hobbs!) The children behaved beautifully and were a credit to the school. What a fantastic day
