Yorkshire Wildlife Park

As part of our work on evolution and inheritance, the Year 5 pupils who did not go to Kingswood residential visited Yorkshire Wildlife Park. We were able to see and learn about a lot of the animals whose adaptations we have been studying, such as the polar bears and the tigers, and we took part in a classroom session run by the wildlife park on how animals have evolved. The children were a real credit to the academy with their behaviour throughout their day and their knowledge on evolution, and the visit was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone
