Lowry Art Work

To end our study of the Victorian Era we have spent a week studying the works of L.S. Lowry.  We have spent time looking closely at his different pictures which were packed with people to show a busy and bustling Britain.  Time has been spent replicating his backgrounds, his people and pieces of his work as well as exploring different mediums.

His work was then used to inspire us to create our own pieces based on different landscapes around Grimsby and Cleethorpes; many of the class chose to create pieces that included the Dock Tower or The Pier.

The week ended with all Year 5 and 6 classes showcasing their art work, it was great to see the many different ways the children had interpreted the Lowry work.
