Spring Term PE

This half term the class has been developing their hockey skills each Monday.  Time has been spent developing their striking and defending skills, with many of the class becoming much more confident (despite aching backs!).

During Friday gymnastics lessons the children have been exploring different movements and routines: bunny hops, arabesque balances, over shoulder rolls, air squats, push ups and dead bugs.  By participating in a Tabata (short periods of high-intensity exercise with recovery periods) the class are becoming more aware of the importance of ‘Engaging the Core’,
