Indoor Rowing

On Wednesday 11th December four children from Y4, Y5 and Y6 headed to Oasis Academy, Wintringham to participate in a rowing tournament.  First, they had a practice to familiarise themselves with the rowing machine.  The excitement set in! When all 16 schools arrived the competition began.  The individual rowing competition started the event.  Everyone tried so hard to improve their technique.  Betsy came first in her race! It was then onto the paired races with a quick change over in the middle.  An excellent effort!  The final part was the whole Y5/6 team event.  They had to swap over and help with the foot straps so the transition was smooth.  An extremely exciting and quick event which they all enjoyed!  All our competitors showed effort and teamwork.  Their scores were added up and they finished in 10th place! Well done!  The organisers spotted their determination and awarded the Lisle Marsden team medals for working with such determination and effort.  They should be very proud of themselves.  Brilliant behaviour and attitude!
