Information for the Academy's Ethos and Values

Lisle Marsden Academy is a Church of England academy. It's work as an educational institution is founded on Christian principles and is expressed in our mission statement below.

'Nurturing the potential and talent of all, through creative and memorable learning, underpinned by the message and teaching of Christ.'

Underneath this Mission Statement lie our academy values. At Lisle Marsden, our academy values permeate all aspects of school life. In July 2015 we reviewed the set of values that we have used for the last five years. All Academy stakeholders were involved in the review, including teachers, governors, site staff, pupils and parents. We now have a new set of values which we have begun to introduce to the children through a range of schemes and through collective worship.

All of the values relate to the three great Christian principles of faith, hope and love:

  • Trust
  • Forgiveness
  • Endurance
  • Wisdom
  • Friendship
  • Respect
